The call of the wild

The call of the wild

Good Morning Bravehearts

As summer wanes to an end, your new adventures unfold.  The mighty landscape calls to us in its endearing voice.  Come to the challenge almighty human.   I call to you with the voices of all of my being.  The wind and rain, the voices of the wild creatures, the song that sings in your heart.  Hear me almighty human!, calls the great planet, a new adventure  for this day.

The fall signals the change of season, the early morning air  has a crisp chill and presents another danger.  Cold.  Be prepared.

The mountain creatures protect us from our exuberant, impulsive selves.  Don’t venture alone.  The wild landscape is a dauntless master, full of pitfalls.  Changeable weather, hypothermia, injury, cold waters, rough landscape.  The powerful predator reminds us, don’t venture alone.

We inhabit this great place, we are the keepers of these lands.  Your bullets might harm us, but we protect you.  Your image of us in your minds, remind you, don’t travel alone..  The powerful, swift, predator, the bear the cougar, the wary hunters the wolves all remind us of the dangers of the wild, but the wildlife can’t protect you from yourselves.  Don’t bother with your rifles almighty human, don’t travel alone.  Your rifles won’t protect you from the sudden change in weather, from burning sun to sudden squalls of rain, hail and snow.  The path becomes slick with mud and slippery footing causes injury.  The beating rain freezes your hands, your body and the wet rain soaks your skin.  You can’t escape the cold.  Leave your guns at home.  The predator can see you, but your own skills will save you.  Be prepared.

The fall brings out a new dimension in travel.  The seasonal change charges the wildlife with new purpose.   The hungry bears forage for food to increase their fat stores for long winter hibernation.

A call rings throughout the land.  A love song, a challenge, a call of competition.  The elk have started to rut and the mighty animal starts to herd  the females.  These are mine! he calls to the wind and he awaits the response of his foe.  The mighty foe responds with courage and the battle unfolds.  This is a dangerous time.  The wild life are focused on their perpetual survival.  The need for creation controls them and they surge with power.  No docile being is this immense creature.  They call the challenge to fight, to control the herd, to dominate, to win their might, their majesty, their right to mate.  The will to survive, to pass on the genetics of strength and of beauty.  The call of the challenge, the clash of the antlers, the battles, the dueling.  Don’t venture near. They charge intruders, animal life ,humans and sometimes vehicles.

There are others, the sheep and the deer will mate as well.  The clack of their horns as they charge at each other.  Be careful!  They are dangerous, these are wild times.  The once wary animals are too focused on survival.  Be careful almighty human, caution in your travels, be prepared.
