The landing

Good morning brave hearts

The voyage is long and the spirit becomes weary. The choice to venture forth into the unknown was a difficult one. The hardship obvious. The stalwarts of the new regime were pensive. What lies beyond?
A small group of people cast out from the shore. These waters have been charted before. Ships have crossed the oceans for hundreds of years, the path is straight. Straight to land hundreds of kilometers away. A large land mass that can’t be missed. Straight across!
In the looming doom of their choice, they cast off. Adrift now, unto the seas.
The choice was a perilous decision wrought from conflicts of ideology which couldn’t be resolved. Freedom called in their minds. Freedom to practice an ideology of their choice. Freedom from the constant explanation, the constant rebuke, the constant struggle. To worship in their own way in a land of freedom without discrimination. Yes, there is such a land and the heavy load of the high seas is upon them.
102 people set forth on that day in two vessels. Only one survived the voyage, only 65 people survived the first winter.

http://biblescripture.net/Pilgrims.html

The good fortune of the pilgrims was to land in a continent of generous peoples. A peoples who generally accepted the tired outcasts. A peoples who allowed the landing of so few, who had starved and perished at sea, who’s numbers were cut in half, who arrived alone. Weary travellers in need of kindness.

http://www.history.com/this-day-in-history/the-pilgrim-wampanoag-peace-treaty

The peoples of the new world made room for the new colonialists and participated in their survival. Oh fortunate travellers to encounter the compassionate, moral human, the peacemaker and the peacekeeper. A small group of weary adventurers, but strangers still.
Hail, almighty human, for the acts of kindness and caring. For only a few short years ago, your populations were devastated by disease from some of these same sorts of travellers. Weary and beleaguered they carried smallpox which spread amongst the natives and devastated their peoples. Death to many.
Still the courage to seek peaceful alliance runs strong in the mind and the will for a lasting peace encourages negotiation. Yes, there will be a negotiated peace. Yes, there will be survival and a colony in this new land.
Brave adventurers, whose toil and passions brought them to this end. New land, new peoples, new survival, new prosperity.
Hail to you, almighty human, for the great adventure of your lives. For dreams and for daring, you live forever!

The Pilgrims

Good day, you brilliant ones.
The feasting of Thanksgiving is passing, but as with all traditions and their historical significance, the celebration is only a reminder of the truth of its existence. To give thanks for life itself is the meaning of the day. The joy of sharing, the happiness of celebration and the relief of a bountiful harvest. Food. No hunger, no starvation, no more worry for the winter.
Traditions arise from many sources, but a holiday to give thanks for the bountiful harvest, which will provide for all during the long winter, was a holiday of feasting and sharing, a holiday of community and a time to end all suffering. No disputes amongst us on these special days. The days when the earth is praised for the abundance that it provides, the days when the Almighty is praised for salvation and the days when community is praised for peace amongst us and all of the benefits that peace brings to our lives.
Historically, the first Thanksgiving took place with the pilgrims in the 1600’s. The joy and relief of a season of toil, was gifted with a plentiful harvest which would last throughout the winter. The negotiated peace was honoured and a lasting peace was accomplished.
Relief. The joy of such a simple achievement. Food. A garden. A party. Prayers, praises, blessings and thanks. The joy of such a simple accomplishment. Food.
With this first Thanksgiving came the hope and dreams of years to come. Aspirations to build a community, a colony, perhaps a country. A home of freedom. The constant call of beleagured peoples. Freedom!
The natives were friendly. There was peace amongst us.

http://www.history.com/topics/thanksgiving

Now, from the first season of toil, comes the wealth of the land. Prosperity! With relief and gladness they sang their songs of praises, of worship, of joy. No more the suffering of distant disputes, the hardships of unrequieted trust. The loss of honour and dignity. No more the distant call of a distant drummer, to beat the path to their own self worth. Now, for this small group of people, in their own chosen world is a haven of safety for themselves.
The natives are friendly. They signed the contract. There will be peace amongst us. So much to give thanks for, so much to have joy for , so much to live for. Paths of their own choosing, a destiny of their own calling, an all encompassing grace.
Joy to you, almighty man, for the achievement of a great landing. Joy to you, you great negotiators, you great peacekeepers. Praises to you for the harvest and the crops and the food and for plenty. Plenty, for your survival, plenty for your daily bread, plenty to share and to plenty to give thanks for. With solemn prayers and joyful hearts, we hear you from your brilliant past.
Hail to you, almighty human, for the songs in your hearts, for the brilliance of your minds and for the skills of negotiation. The negotiated peace is prosperity, humanity and your heartfelt joy.
Praises for the ancient landing, praises for peace amongst us, praises for Thanksgiving and to all of you.
Happy Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving

Good day you awesome human

This weekend is the celebration of all of our harvest. A happy time, a prosperous time and a time of thanksgiving. Thank you for the gifts of food, for the sharing and for the discovery of the new world. Thank you for peace amongst us, for family and for friends. Thank you for the harvest, for the good earth and for the land to call home.
This is a time of joy in our land, a time of feasting, to overcome the shadow of dark starvation, of poverty and of loss. The toil of the land produces plenty and the harvest yields another season of healthy wealth. Another season of joy as our larders fill with the crops, put down from this years bountiful growth. We are the lucky ones to live our lives in a land so abundant.
The catch of the day lies just off shore. The fishing vessels from far off places come to our coastlines to cast their nets. The hungry from their own nations call to be appeased. Their fishermen travel long distances to find a place where they can catch fish. The times are the 1600’s and the new world is attracting settlers, merchants and fishermen from Europe.
The pilgrims have landed on Plymouth Rock and are settling in America. The natives were congenial. They shared in the harvest and helped the new pilgrims to survive.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pilgrims_(Plymouth_Colony)

The newly found earth sighs as it gives up its harvest to the grateful pilgrims. They have escaped to a life of prosperity and health. The soil is nutritious the yield is high enough. No more the starving plight of impoverished families. Famine or pestilence has been left behind. The new world is a blessing to them and the friendly natives do them no harm.
A community of sharing unfolds as the blessing of food is gratefully accepted and peace amongst us is the order of the day. Peace to all of us, who have been so fortunate as to travel to this great land. To meet the people who now live close by, who share the land, the wealth of the land and the bountiful harvest.
Praises to the great Earth for the plentiful food. Praises to the almighty human for compassion and sharing. No starvation in this land and the food itself gives time for other pursuits. America becomes the land of plenty. The land of dreams, of opportunity. The land of prosperity. From an ancient landing a reputation is born. Come to America! You will live well here!
Come they did. Across the Atlantic in nervous anticipation of a new life with new meaning. The joy of freedom flows in their veins. The pride of achievement swells in their breasts. The joy of living is their daily bread. They sing the glad tidings of gratefulness and pray their prayers of joy and hope. Starvation is banished. Poverty recedes. The merciful almighty hears their prayers and blesses them with abundance.
Joy to you, oh fortunate human and praises to the peacekeepers. The start of a new world, a new nation, new lives, arising from the good fortune of the congenial gift of mutual sharing.

Solar Energy

Good day you awesome human

Tread lightly on the fragile planet, it brings to us so much inspiration and joy. A day of living, of exploring, of companionship of interest. A day, so valuable and important. A day to accomplish yet another task, goal or project. A day to fulfil yet another dream, to pursue your quest to the maximum, to experience the rush of exhilaration from achievement and success.
This day, brought to you by fine technology, computers, cell phones, internet, social media and connectivity. This day, brought to you by brilliant minds, working for the advancement of civilization.
Hail to you Oh fine minds, the comfort and world wide interaction is a gift of your fine aptitudes.
In the warmth and security of homes and buildings, the cost of the exploitation of the planet is distant to us. The need for international and community communication is so high that other factors become lost to us. Yes, the cellphone is a personal safety device. The computer is an essential communication device. Our world has become a smaller place where great distances are easily surpassed by technology. It costs us little.
The inventor has come to us so many times to save us.
The fragile planet sighs, almighty human, it needs your fine minds to save it.
The greening of our communities becomes an essential part of building. Solar power for heat, well insulated homes, a change in thinking regarding housing. An investigation into alternative energy sources provides for a change of environment. The sources of energy for all of your increasing comfort and survival needs, brought to you by the sun, instead of the planet.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_power

Simple, easily attainable devices such as outdoor solar lighting, help protect your property with no energy cost. Such a simple device for your home, might have an alternative for the community. Outdoor solar lighting has been available for years and streetlights can be solar powered as well. There are so many companies offering solar power products to reduce the high cost of energy to the consumer and to offset the detrimental aspect of energy consumption for the planet. More and more devices are becoming solar powered, more and more ingenuity in capturing the suns energy for our own good use.

http://www.alternative-energy-news.info/technology/solar-power/

The needs of the planet are high. Without our diligent efforts to save it, we will loose this great place of life and living. This awesome sphere of wonder and joy.
The high costs of solar power are no longer a concern. Many new products are available to the consumer at reasonable prices.

http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/browse/4/Auto/SolarPortablePower/SolarEnergy.jsp

An investigation into alternative power sources reveals to us an increasing number of products to purchase which will reduce energy costs and provide power. Each effort, no matter how small, is a step to save the great planet and ourselves.

Housing

Hail to you oh moral human.
Cast out the evil of insistent intruders, the interlopers who pry into your lives. Your own domain houses your privacy and only the chosen ones enter your lives. This place of peace and prosperity for you. Share it wisely.
The plunder of the planet is a constant concern. Another building constructed on green space, another housing development on acres of previously held farmland. More housing for the masses, less farmland for our crops. Oh feed us, almighty planet, from whatever nutricious soil is left.
The housing crisis is a serious detriment to the planet. One more apartment complex for the ever increasing numbers of single people. Single from divorce, from circumstance or from choice. The single population puts an unnecessary demand on the planet. Another home just for one, another apartment, just a bachelor, just for one. More and more space put aside for people who can’t, won’t or don’t want to share.
The rising cost of utilities to heat homes just for one. The rising cost of infrastructure to accommodate all of those buildings which have so many people living alone. Another apartment building with one bedroom and bachelor apartments, just for one, but the social and economic stress is high. All of that costly infrastructure, all of that costly development, all of that costly land put into apartments, condominiums and one bedroom bungalows, just for one person. Our taxation skyrockets to fulfill the requests of plunder. Our housing shortage is an artificial number. It’s contrived by the growing numbers of families ousted from housing by single people living alone.
Development becomes excessive. The family is abused by inappropriate housing. All that’s available is a one bedroom accommodation. All that’s available is a bachelor apartment. Where will they stay?
The demographic study shows more demand for housing. Complexes are built to fulfill needs to repair the costly demands of single people. All that space, all of that land, all of those utilities, to provide for the comfort of one person.
Price increases, taxation skyrockets, the land succumbs to yet another development, farming and farm land decreases, wild spaces vanish, the city encroaches. With yet another dwelling comes more shopping malls, more roads, more utility lines, more plunder and more crowding.
The large companies who house work crews have a genuine need for bachelor apartments. A person stationed in an area temporarily needs accommodation. The difference in value, between hotel living and providing an apartment is high in cost. The consumer pays the price. The value of commodities essential for living escalates to pay for housing for work crews who cannot find accommodation. Hotels welcome them, but society pays their wage. Every cost is returned to the consumer and housing costs for travelling crews is high.
Affordable housing becomes the demand of the day and another productive farm is overtaken by development. Where will our grocery come from? Our negotiations are stable, we can always purchase from abroad.
Almighty human, with the earth so fragile, each decision is an important one. Housing is always a crisis. Food and food production is always a crisis. The preservation of the environment is crucial.
Before you venture out on your own, think about the planet and your own safety. Your family and your roommates protect you and the social costs of people living alone is too high for our fragile environment to bear.

For the Divas

Good morning you awesome beings.
Bold and beautiful, you step out into the world, dazzling us all with your special persona. Immaculate, positive, articulate. The world awaits and you boldly venture forth. A new time of man, a new time of woman, a new time of society.
Hail to you, the women of the earth. The long adventure to that special self fulfilment. People are changing, society is changing and your minds and voices are heard. A powerful time, a time of equality and self actualization.
Caution, you dauntless beings, we know your minds. Thinking of men as husbands and brothers has left you unprepared for the unknown man, the untrusted man, the corruption. For women think that men are kind and are left unsuspecting of the ruin of their lives if they’re not. There is still the danger.
How many times have scandals wracked your world. The criminal element, so aggressive, ruthless and persistent. The fallen victims of scams and unknown disputes, the invasion of privacy, the humiliation and despair.
Praises to you, for the continued support, for the strength and clarity of a society worthy of justice, human rights, success, progress and humanity. Praises to you for a culture of creativity, involvement, advancement. The non judgemental and non discriminatory elements of human rights. The pursuits of child care, social programs, legislation and education. Not just for some, but for all women, all races, all nationalities, still working all over the world. The plight of women and children, the constant quest to end the poverty, the violence and the despair. Praises to all of you for the selfless self seeking of world wide peace, an end to war and poverty and to the rights of the individual. The promotion of compassion, humanity and dignity.
Hail to all of mankind for the wisdom of these pursuits.
Now divas, a caution to your own lives. The daily violence is still a part of our struggle. Your belief that men are kind, they are your husbands and your brothers is too naĂŻve. Beware oh beauteous ones. Violence against women is against all women. The scandals are about all of us.
In the history of mankind, any woman, in any society, in any nation, in any era, have been attacked by scandals. All of these assaults are violence against women, against their place in society and against the family.
But you, divas, need to protect yourselves, shun the mean and contemptuous. Don’t fall victim to the scam. Violence against women starts with the scandals. No one is immune.
Take the simple precautions to protect yourselves, we need your strong voices, the compassion, the mutual support. Beauteous divas, protect yourselves.
Lock your car doors at all times, even when you’re inside. Carry your cellphone, fully charged and call someone to talk to as you walk to your car at night. Park your car in well lit areas. Don’t go out alone. Don’t live by yourselves. Having someone at home, expecting your arrival protects you. Don’t overdress. Don’t invite the workplace to your home unless your roommate is present. Don’t assume. Instead of walking alone, those short two blocks home at night, take a cab. Protect yourselves. Lock the doors of your home. Ask for references. Even if the person is a collegue, you should know them before you invite them. Don’t be overly friendly or overly eager. Find people who you trust and who will support you. Keep your social group tight and compatible. Mutual interests and mutual sharing.
Beware of the evils of the world, fine divas. Predators are stealthy. Be alert and be wise.
Those fabulous, kind and compassionate men are your friends and companions. They will help and support you. Just be careful.

Take Flight

Take Flight

Good morning brave hearts.
The cooler fall air reminds the birds of the season of change. They call to each other to gather around. Come near! they sing. They clamour together and fill the trees, calling for each and every one of them to join the flock. It is fall. Time to move south.
The birds natural inclination to move to warmer climates, brings the masses of migrating birds together. The gregarious birds fly together for protection and flight paths. They keep each other in sight, the older ones, showing the way to the younger ones the way, the strong leading the weak. The birds will travel hundreds of kilometers in search of new food sources, shelter, homes and habitats.
The skies fill with the wonder of migration.
The long flight to ponds and forests in far off places. Will they still be there for the birds? Will those protected places that the wildlife need so badly for survival still exist? One more year of environmental protection, one more year of the survival of so many species.
Thousands fly south to warm climates, their small bodies too fragile for cold temperatures and as the leaves turn colour and fall, the protection of the trees vanishes. The winds are strong and the birds take flight to escape.
Will they return?
We protect our own forests for the salvation of the planet, air, weather, for us, for wildlife and for beauty. The forest provides a beautiful backdrop to our lives. The gracious trees, home to many animals, insects and birds provide homes, shelter from the elements, wind, sun and rain and food.
The brave birds fly on a course to the unknown. They will winter wherever they can find food and shelter. Wherever the compassionate human has protected them and the environments that they need for survival. Parklands, forests, back yards with shrubs and trees.
The migration is a marvel of distance and stamina.
How many will come back to us?
The quiet of autumn fills our ears as the chattering birds leave us behind.
The monarch butterflies have already gone on their long flight to Mexico.
http://www.monarch-butterfly.com/
Hibernating animals dig into the earth for their long winters sleep and ponds become quiet.
Trees shed their leaves in preparation for their own winters sleep.
The land is changing. The scattered seeds of summer plants find resting places in the soil. New life for next year.
Prepare for winter, it will come soon.
The peaceful land keeps us busy with fall harvest. Hay for the livestock, fall fruits and vegetables for us. The farmers markets swell with food and our own food baskets are heavy.
The earth saves us once again.

Solstice

Solstice

Hail Brave hearts!

It’s officially fall. The autumn colours of the landscape are changing and a new brilliant hue of colour is upon us. This almighty man, is the land of our forefathers. The land of pristine beauty, of awesome wonder, of dreams fulfilled, of courageous challenge. A land for bold and daring adventure, a life of freedom. A new way, a new path to follow a new quest.
Here, almighty man, is the great land! All of your strength, all of your courage, all of your skills, all of your brilliance and all of your compassion.
Fine negotiator who accepted cultural diversity and multiculturalism as a natural human condition. Fine negotiator, whose attempts to assimilate brought peace and prosperity to the land. Clever peacemaker who spied an opportunity and felt a responsibility to save.
Save us! Called the dying as they slipped away. The path to prosperity was too difficult and too isolated.
Compassionate human, who lived so well, with such apparent ease, with prosperity, luxury and time for leisure pursuits. Art, games, athletics, tests of skills and feats of daring.
This is the new world. Lucky are we to be the fortunate ancestors of accepted mankind in a world so daunting and dangerous.
The pristine wilderness unfolds before us and calls it endless call to follow. Come, great human, into the great wild, whispers the forest, sings the rivers and howls the wind. Experience this peace and hear our song, we sing to you mankind, freedom!
Freedom! It echoed in the ears of our forefathers as they arrived by the boatload to inhabit a land of unknown challenges. A promise of lives fulfilled, dreams come true, plenty for all. The negotiated peace brought with it nation building, agriculture, economics, land, contentment and relaxation. Escape to the new world.
Gone was the overburdening landlord and the endless struggle against taxation. The homesteaders came to farm the land and now there is a harvest. It is fall, the colours are changing, the fruit is ripening, the food is abundant.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homesteading
http://www.motherearthnews.com/homesteading-and-livestock/living-the-good-life-zm0z12aszkon.aspx
Still, in our modern homes, we hear the voices of wisdom persistently nudging us. Move forward, brilliant human, but keep the past with you. Don’t forget your daring ancestors, that brave wilderness birth, the fear, the sorrow, the overwhelming pain. Don’t forget us mankind. Don’t leave the past behind. Remember the great peace that saved us and that is our duty to retain. The great peace, in a world of hardship, with a call to duty to overcome the challenges, inhabit all of the land, build a civilization, farm the land, be the almighty human! No so, bravehearts. Without the great peace, all would be lost.
Now, in this time of joy, when the crops are harvested, food is plenty, the winter is cared for, survival is promised. Now we rejoice in the autumn, with it’s changing colours, it’s cooler temperatures, it’s gifts from the earth.
The animals mate and they too will survive. The great earth, full of miracles, provides again.

Paint your palet

Paint your palet

Still the wild calls us. It’s perfect hues. It calls to our instincts, our passions and our joy.
Here, almighty man, whispers the forest. Come walk my trails, into the secrets of my wooded landscapes. It is autumn and my continually changing attire is now ablaze in fall colour. My own berry harvest is ripe and ready. I fed your ancestors, they walked these trails, full of purpose and determination. Yes, mankind, you will survive. The negotiated peace prevails and you, brilliant one, have achieved your goal.
Your goal to prosperity, to the rugged landscape, to the great wild, to the pursuit of inner peace.
Hail, almighty man, for the great negotiation of a multi culture society.
The great Earth cloaks itself in the unrivalled beauty of its colourful landscape. The changing populations of flowers each with delightful colour and purpose. The early bold display arising from a winters sleep is soon overwhelmed by the spring blooms. Now it is fall, time to put it all away. Time to harvest the crops and to bring the abundance of the land into your home.
The Earth sustains us, as it sustains all of its creatures. The powerful bear, preparing for a long winters nap, will fill itself on the fall berries. Berries for the pregnant mother, berries for the tiny infant to be born next spring. All in a prepared cycle of life and living.
The powerful bear will sleep a blissful winters sleep, away from the curious, the elements and the cold. The wild land will provide a soft, dry den of quiet protection and the mighty bear will drift into a tranquil rest. The earth provided an abundant harvest and the bear will arise with cubs in the spring.
The changing seasons is a changing world for us as well.
The season of the harvest is a time of plenty.
No one is hungry here. No humans, no wildlife, no creatures. The earth provides for what it creates and the wild sustains the wild.
No plunder here. The immense landscape protects a tiny fraction of the populace of wildlife that the earth creates. This small tract of land continually provides for grazing animals, hungry predators and contented birds. The web of life and the interwoven dependence of life is fulfilled in some small, protected lands where encroachment is limited and hunting prohibited. These select few are an example of the biodiversity of the planet. One small area of pristine environmental integrity, set aside for the earth to decide.
In these small areas, the earth chooses the numbers and variety of the species of plant and animal life. Mankind is a visitor to these realms. These realms of abundance, no poverty, no plunder, no starvation here. These are the sanctuaries of the planet, no matter how large, they are too small. Too small for the vast numbers of fishes in the waters, too small for the vast numbers of birds in the sky, too small for the populace herds of ungulates and too small for the density of predators. Here, the earth lives, its populations thrive, it plants its seeds of joy, of regrowth of rebirth.
Almighty human, sighs the earth, I need more.

A path of delight

Good morning Brave hearts.

Hail brilliant mankind.
A lifetime of beauty and serenity awaits you in the grand adventure of the wild. The peaceful quiet, the wonderful aromas, the clean, unpolluted waters, the immense landscape, the fabulous wildlife. The joy of an escape into peace. A timeless oasis of splendor for the senses, an awakening, a rejuvenation, a moment in time where all is well and the good Earth breathes it’s regular breaths and it’s heart pounds with regular beating. Here, the Earth lives!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4E40lwh53ec forest tranquility message.

We feel the soft path under our feet, mosses growing in the shaded forest beside. Wild grasses and wild flowers tightly competing for a particle of soil to secure themselves to. The meadows are lush with vegetation. Insects thrive on the nectar and birds thrive on the insects. A perfect environment, a perfect interaction of life and the continuation of living.
Here, in the wilderness, the Earth lives.
Every inch of it’s surface is covered by plants. The seasonal changes of plant life, from a planet so creative, it continually changes it’s cover.
Now, it is fall. The seed pods are a burst of energy for new life. The tiny seed becomes a flower of exquisite colour and beauty. The proud planet, showing off it’s own newborn.
Here the planet chooses for itself. It plants it’s own lush creation of plants, the number and variety. It feeds it’s own creation of insects and wildlife. It chooses it’s own abundance, beauty, colour and scent. Here, in the great wild, where the wind pollinates the plants and rain nurtures the ground, is where the planet shows us her finest designs.
A tangle of forest, a carpet of meadow, every colour of green imaginable. Here, where the ponds match the colour of the sky, where every plant species is a different colour of green. Even in the fall, when the early frost changes the colour of the leaves, this is not a dying world. This is the time of rejuvenation. In this time of quiet, the animals will mate, the flowers will sow their seeds, the migrating birds will fly and the land prepares for a restful winters sleep. The Earth too, needs it’s time of restful calm.
The joy of an unhurried escape along a path of simple pleasure. A day of acquaintance with nature and its wonderful ways. Simple, gentle breezes wafting pleasant smells of plants so fragrant. The sounds of calling birds and the cascading waters of small waterfalls reminding us that we have nourishment here.
The discovery of a path of luxury. The luxury to have unspoilt lands, unpolluted waters, clean, fresh air. The luxury to protect, to conserve, to walk the great wild.
Here, we don’t plunder. Here we save.
The Earth smiles at us and presents her glory.
Brilliant mankind, come to the great wild. Let the fabulous good Earth nurture your soul and sing it’s songs of gladness to you.
Peace to you, brave hearts, nurture and care.
