A Day for Planet Earth

A Day for Planet Earth

Hail Brave hearts

It’s still out there.  The adventure awaits.

April brings us warm, sunny weather.  A perfect day for a perfect outing.  Into the great wild we go.  The conditions are perfect for us today,  snow pack, snow bridges, flat trail.  The river crossings are easy and the destination is close by.  A mere 5 kilometers of snow covered terrain.

This is an easy destination for the adventurer, in a time when exploration of the area was crucial.  The need to know the area, so that the land is familiar and accessible.  The need to know every inch of the surroundings, so that we can travel safely, intelligently and explore the land.

We’re on a seldom used and little known trail.  Awesome!  Lucky for us, that we are the explorers of this day.  We travel easily. The terrain is flat and accessible, opening up to a world of stark beauty.  A flock of pretty robins flutter in the forest and run along the snow.  It’s a surprise to see them, especially in this location.  Then we spy it, our destination, the glacier.  The source of our water supply, the beginnings of the rivers.  Since it is a warm day, we watch avalanches slide off the glacier into the moraine below.  We are silent.  Only us, in this great wilderness place, all to ourselves, on this fine day.  Perhaps the crowds of tourists have come before us, but we know they haven’t.  There’s still some wilderness left in the great wild.

A few days later, we hang up our snowshoes and go crocus hunting.  It’s an unusually cold spring.  Global warming?  Climate change is a better phrase.  Sometimes we see these early spring flowers at the end of March.  This year, they’re still struggling to appear and it takes until mid April for these showy purple heads to blossom.  Once they start, they’ll carpet the fields and hillsides in glorious purple.  More wonders and beauty to behold, and so easy to find.

The protected wilderness areas are a significant contribution to our health and lifestyles.  A daily walk in the park to spectacular views,  precious wildlife, blooming wildflowers.  The joy of the living planet, giving us air, supporting our lives, giving us recreation and wonder.  It gives us peace and clears our minds to wander in the great wild.  Always a fantastic scene to behold, sometimes by accident, sometimes by creation.

This great day is Earth Day.  One day, for our awesome, awe inspiring planet?  Only one day to take a look at the marvelous creation of this great planet Earth.  This day is every day.  A day for the joy of your senses.  A day to breathe the fresh air and cleanse your soul in the beauty of the earth.  This adventure is not just for today, but for all of your time here.  Time to explore, time to live, time to enjoy the life on this Earth.

Lucky mortals, to be alive on this great planet.  Intelligent mortals, to save God’s great, good earth.

Enjoy the Winter

Enjoy the Winter

Hail Brave hearts

Oh to the lucky ones, who walk these paths.  The great mighty river has presented it’s wonder.  The uproar of nature, a beautiful site, it catches us off guard.   It’s so impressive and different and interesting.  A phenomena of sorts, with it’s unusual beauty, we walk these paths often and have never seen this before.  The freeze, the thaw, the freeze, the thaw, the mighty river flows.  The enormous upheaval of ice and water, breaking up huge chunks of ice, as the river starts to flow.  This is January and a mild spell during the winter has created an unusual scene.  This area should be frozen solid and the thickness of the ice proves that it was, but the mighty river flows.  These ice pieces are about one foot thick and have been heaved all along the river bank.  It was a marvel to look at and to speculate the dramatic change that would have caused this.  For us, this powerful act of nature is new.  It’s exciting and beautiful and the power of the water is awesome to see.    This kind of ice break up is what happens in the spring, but this is the dead of winter, with temperatures hovering around zero.  Too warm to keep the river frozen and to keep the ice in place.  We should be able to walk along this river, but we can only walk along the ice shelf by the river bank.  Global warming and climate change are presenting winter to us in a dramatic new way.

It was only  a few weeks ago that we saw that the river was frozen and planned for a winter afternoon excursion. There’s value to seeing the park from the rivers.  It gives us new photographs and a new perspective of the mountains and the terrain.  Sometimes the walking is easier and with careful consideration of the dangers of ice travel, we stay near the shore, travel in groups and pay attention to the changing surface.

The river heaves and swells and the ice forms in dramatic flows like waves.  It’s dangerous and we stick to the shoreline.

We need the winter, with it’s cold and snow.  The fluffy white stuff is full of fun and winter is a favorite season.  The warmth has made it more fun, with less inside time drinking hot chocolate and  more outside time on the ski hill.  We play more with temperatures like this and it still snows!  The winter activity is good for our souls.  It pushes us to outside sports and to cautious winter travel.  It teaches us about nature in a different way, about weather and avalanche, snow travel and preparation.  It teaches us to be hardy and strong and to learn survival skills.  We love it this way!  The great white north, with all of it’s beauty, it’s back country cabins, pot belly stoves, tracked trails into the wilderness.  All of this presents it’s own dangers, thrills, unique experiences and exhilaration.  It’s magical and wonderful and full of winter fun.

But now, something unusual.  Travel cautiously, oh brave hearts and enjoy the great winter.

It’s Birthing Season

It’s Birthing Season

Hail, all you Bravehearts

The spring magic is bursting, it’s flames fill the air, heady with perfume, the fragrance is everywhere.  Colours of rainbows, the infraction of light, darting licks of sprouting things, the springtime comes to life.  Brilliance of beauty, the delight of newborn lives, nesting calls of symphony, the choir of our lives.  Behold the wondrous species, they all have missions here, to fill our world with Earthly praise, to a planet we  hold most dear.  The budding trees are blooming now, the bees are hard at work, for pollen, nectar and honey is the plan of natures work.  A stork will bring the babies, a notion so absurd, the animal chain of learning pain, brings babies from the woods. It’s nests and eggs that hatch the young, it’s thickets, where they lay.  That overrated stork lost out, to the trees and forest at play.

Lovely splendor, lovely birth, the drama of the fall, has an outcome so desirable, it’s babies after all.  Little adorable ones, needing so much attention.  Stop!  Don’t miss that chance, to capture them on camera.  The wildlife are beaming, they know now what to do.  Stand by the roadside in the Parks and wave at the calamity of you know who.

An adventure for this praiseworthy day, a photo or several, or two, of babies coming to join us, in this hinterland of guess who.  Nature may be difficult, it’s predator and prey, but come into the world of babies, and it protection and play.  Lovely little ones, so cute and soft and adored, we all become their mothers, just to nurture a world to be explored.  They’re fabulous and new, they shriek at us, coo coo! We all come a running with baby food.  The spring and the parenting, the planning for next year.  Raise those babies wisely, they represent the herd!  No dowdy ones, no unmatched socks, put on your sleek new coat.  You are a representative of a genetic stock to rival any goat. Survival of the fittest is the game all parents play.  When babies are born and pride is given to a new cast of characters today.

The love and devotion of springtime happiness, is turned to a summer of responsible parenting togetherness.   Chattering with pride, they show off their newborn delight.  Just look at little elk calf there, he’s blossoming with intellectual might.

The fish eggs are hatching, the frogs sing with all their might.  A lovely day on planet Earth, fills their little lungs with a chorus of pond song, after dinner, choir serenade delight.

The sounds of the season are love and loving sounds, as the great gifted planet, spins it’s eternity  of  marvel all around.  All creation, all for good, a special aptitude, the great gifted planet, spins it all just for you.  Just for you, oh little one, just for you to share, the fabulous stretch of wisdom, greets you everywhere.   This gifted, great planet, in it’s protected, universal space, is a wealth of brilliant life form abundance, for everyone, even the human race.  Welcome and acceptance, treat it all with care, for this great, ingenious planet, can concoct new species, if it’s dared.  The life forms are brilliant, it’s beauty and adored, the planet exudes it’s wealth of creation for all of us to explore.

Rise and shine, it’s springtime, so go out and greet the day.  For all of us, are from planetary dust, just go out and play.

Something New

Something New

Hail Braveheats!

Fabulous and new, I reach out to you.  Look outside and see.  A breath of wonder awaits all of you, as the world turns into it’s new reality.  A fresh, new form of creation is there, a surprising change of life.  A mutation of some sort, but still, a whole new entity is formed.

Praises again to the almighty planet, a world of energy and change.  When you know it all, think again, a life form springs into your world.  Interesting and challenging, the world spins something new.  A delightful curiosity for the brave at heart, to test the strength of that fine aptitude.  Explore and adventure, question and pursue, what in the world is the Earth up to?   Too much of something, that needs to be reduced, a predator of excess set on the loose.

It’s marvelous how we can know it all, then up springs something,  to teach us to learn again.

It’s strange and marvelous at the same time.  Wonder and curiosity springs to mind.  Delve into the unknown, look and see, the world is still changing and amazing to me.  A life form, so unusual, protect it, keep it safe.  How does it harm you, in it’s own special place?  The adventure of living on a planet so great.  The thrill of discovery tempts us to our fate.  Lovely to look at, interesting and rare.  Creatures so unusual, they delights us, entice us, tempt us and amuse us.  How do they do that?  Why is it like that? Where does it come from?  How does it survive?  Questions needing answers, evolutionary interest.  So many differences, so many species!  It’s astounding the number of life forms.

A new something emerges, that we’ve never seen before.  Something unusual waiting to be explored.  Surfaces and landmasses, oceans and lakes, the curious will uncover what the earth makes.  Fill up the land, fill up the sky, fill up the waters, with living and creation.   The earth has it’s mission and creation it is.  Fun, funny, wonderful things, that capture our attention.

Saving a species, an ecosystem, a world, becomes the mantra of a human aptitude.  Environmentalist, biologist, botanist, and the like, all gravitate to earth sciences, to fill their delight.  Bugs and pond study, amphibians and birds, all in one small space, in a jam packed world.  The wonder of inter connecting, of small pond dwelling, the masses of species sharing a tiny space. Predator and prey, living together.

Come out of your houses, enjoy the view.  It’s an awe inspiring world that’s been created for you.  Come see the wonder of the great planet Earth.  A gem in the galaxy waiting to be discovered.  Feast your lives on the palette of something so rare.  Color and spectacles, blooms and fresh air.

Dust and star dust, life and creation.  A world like no other.  This great planet Earth, with it’s life and creation, is as unusual in the universe as it’s  inhabitants are on this planet.  Care and be cared for, we are all at stake here.  We have to save all of us, in this painfully small, speck of celestially dust called Earth.

The Gods

Hail Almighty Ones
Brilliant and  fascinating, the outer world of wonder.  Imaginations soar and our minds are held in spell bound curiosity.  What’s out there?
The Gods of our ancestors reside in the universe.  All powerful, dictatorial, omnipotent, magnificent.  The Gods of the universe, who reign supreme.  The majesty of their minds, the fortitude of their being, the awesomeness of their creation.  Almighty indomitable ones, the Gods reign on high.  Our ancestors were captivated by the brilliance of the Gods and preyed for safety and security from these deities so supreme.  Their presence surrounded them, and dutifully they responded.  Mythical creations of the all curious, all searching human mind.
What’s out there?  There must be something.  All of this, just for us.  Where is that God, that hears us.  The God of the heavens and the Earth, the great divine.  The all creator.  The almighty one, commands his planet. Give us light and the sun shines, give us darkness and the world turns and darkness is upon us, with the moon as the only light.  Give us life and the earth creates.  Magnificent and lovely, the Earth perpetually gives life.
The wonders of the planet, the wonders of the universe, so vast and enticing, so vivid and so surreal.  A world of wonder, a world of the divine, a world of creation and life.  The spell binding mystery of life.
We know it all.  Our great human minds investigate it  all.  We search all things.  The superior brain of a superior being, constantly investigating, constantly prying.  Constantly asking questions that demand answers, constantly seeking new truths to age old questions. We are the humans, cast in the form of the Almighty Gods, superior to our earth dwelling companions of animal and plant life, but still we seek the great unknown.  The how’s, the where’s the why’s of creation.  The diversity of plant and animal life, so brilliant and unusual.  The wonders of this awesome planet and the sky.

The Truth About Astrology – Full Documentary

Mythology creates constellations in the sky.  The stars form in patterns of mythical beings, beasts and gods, humans and stories, the sky is a world of imagination, of stories of the past, of legends and tales of a world long ago.  The sky has a history with us, just like our own human history on  Earth.  The beings that reign supreme in the sky, forever etched in the memory of mankind.  Gods that once roamed the Earth, now, forever dwelling in constellations in the stars.  The universe holds them dear and we stare at them  in wonder,  constantly.   They are our guides, as we navigate across the planet, still helping us to survive and to communicate with each other.  The gods of astrology, all in the stars, keeping watch over their star sign children on Earth.  They speak to us, in their heavenly ways, giving us fortune telling and advice.  The mystics speak to them and they respond with  helpful words to their children.
An age old discipline of learning and knowledge, a communication with the stars and the deities that we belong to.
Hail, you almighty ones, who know all things, predictions and forecasts, and fortune telling.  Ask the Gods what the world will be, they might respond to you, if you hear them.

Books and knowledge, wisdom and learning, a world of never ending fascination, greets your searching.  Curiosity is key, it propels your mind, search and keep searching, seek and maybe find.  The joy of discovery of worlds new to you, of spacemen and aliens, of galaxies and stars.  The world of fascination, of spellbinding interest, of unusual, of challenging, of differences of things.  When the world becomes casual, humdrum and boring, look to the heavens for a world worth exploring.  Put on your space suites, your helmets and air tanks, hop into your rockets and fasten your seat belts.  The search is on, for a world filled with wonder.  Fabulous, marvelous, brilliant for you.  Now, you’ve found me and I know  you.

Everywhere

Everywhere

Hail Bravehearts

Young and old, rich and poor, meek and strong, search for me.  I am your world.  I am your conscience, I am your guide, I am your motivation, your drive, your intellect.  Seek me, and I will speak to you.  I am the light that shines in your world.

The weather rolls in, the thunder clashes, the rain falls in torrents, the wind howls, the night falls, the stars come out and the dreamy night sky opens up to you.  The moon casts its shimmery glow of moonlight.  The air is clean and scented from the rain, the howls subside and the world is brilliant.  Light falls from the moon and the path is lit.  A fearsome storm, becomes a quiet night, the Earth rolls over and sleeps, but the sky is awake.  It shines with brilliant light.  It beckons the world to watch in wonder.  The day is over, but now it’s night.  The air is charged with something different.  Don your jackets, pull up your lawn chairs, lay back in rest and watch the night.

The starry  night of myth and fantasy, the factual night of navigation and  science, the magical night of stars and aurora borealis.  The night of peace and sweet dreams.

I Am God

Hail, you awesome humans.

The Universe is mine. Look at this.  All of this.  This enormous space.  A place of unimaginable dimension, measured in light years, so vast, so amazing, so unknown and fascinating.  This, oh great human, is my place.  I am here, dwelling in this expansive and scintillating, star covered universe.  It stretches endlessly and fabulously before me.  Star clusters of dazzling light, suns so hot, they’re balls of fire.  Here in this star studded space, is me.  I was never lost, only found.

The adventure to the discovery of the universe has been a daring one.  Rockets and probes, space men and martians.  The unexplored and unexplained, still waiting for that next greatest attempt.  Hail Earthling.  The marvels of space, await your intrusion.

Look at my fabulous colors, spinning and twinkling, the shining stars cast off a great array of color.  Cool blues and warm yellows, red, pink, purple and blue.  The colors of gases and reflected light.  The forms of the universe are all in motion, some in reckless abandon, going wherever, some in symetry, perfectly organized, spinning and shining, glowing and speeding.  The sound of the universe is not so quiet.  Comets speed past with brilliant long tails.  Meteors shower the heavens with light.  The moon rises and cast its spell and stars twinkle and demand the attention of star gazing eyes.  The wonder of the universe casts it’s magical spell and holds us spellbound in it’s fascinating hand.

THE UNIVERSE: HOW BIG HOW FAR HOW FAST | NASA Documentary BluRay 1080p

This is where I am, basking in this glorious light.  It is warm and hot, cool and cold.  In this gigantic, wondrous space, the Earth is placed in a protected place.  Set behind Jupiter and close enough to the Sun, it misses damaging meteorite showers and is warm enough for life.  A creative oasis in a star studded galaxy where life breeds and creation claims it’s place.  I placed you there.  From this birthplace in the universe, to a galaxy way out is space, I placed the Earth in that special, safe place.

Here are your instructions, oh divine, great planet.  Give us life.  Give us creation.  Give us creativity and imagination.  Give us landscapes and water and air borne things. Give us light and dark, shade and interesting spaces.  Give us discovery and adventure, fascinating, dazzling, bedazzling planet, give us life.  Give us dreams and conquest, challenges and fight.  Give us sound and fury and play and delight.  Give us wealth and wonder, speechless divine.  Oh great planet, give us life.

Hail, you mighty ones, for the greatness of you.  Oh stalwart being, so brave and so bold.  Cast your lights to the heavens and wave your wands,  your great minds come from planetary dust and you’ll leave your mark, if you use them well.  My gifts to you are many, more than your eyes can see.  The countless ways to entertain your minds and bodies, with the gifts that the Earth will share.  Feelings, emotion, learning, athletics, communication, language, companions and teaching.

I present myself to you, you can hear me speak, my language is universal, it is one word.

The Mariana Trench

Hail Almighty Planet

The Earth sings to us from it’s ocean depths.  Songs of creation, of discovery, of challenge, of adventure, of conquest, of unimaginable, tantalizing delights.  The unknown, the unexplored, the difficult.  A challenge only for the most qualified, most skilled,  most ingenious and the brave.

Here is a delight, to capture the imagination of the mind of man.  A chance for a record, for a first, for a brilliant endevour.  Here, in the darkest depths of the ocean lies the undiscovered secrets of the Mariana Trench.

http://www.deepseachallenge.com/the-expedition/mariana-trench/

Oh fabulous planet, so exciting and unusual.  The exploration of the surface is still unfolding.  Thousands of years of human history and still, the planet offers more.  Again the great Earth inspires us to explore, again the great Earth temps us and tantalizes us.  Come, great human, into the depths of the dark waters.  Come great human, come to the ocean and explore.

This is a world for the curious.  Choose your adventure and pursue it. So much to see in the world around us, so much to do on the surface.  We stretch our bodies and thrill our minds.  We focus on adventure and pursue the great mysteries.  We strive to discover the secrets of the planet.  Oh, mysterious world, full of caves and space, mountains, and forest, oceans deep and endless sky.  The thrill of this lifetime is a world within our reach.  Yet still, the great planet surprises us.  Lifeforms in unusual places, defying the odds of possibility.  Cold and dark, deep and difficult, yet the light shines on something and it takes our breath away.

Something new for us, when we think we know it all.  Something still out there, still unexplored, still calling our name.

Mariana Trench | The Deepest & Most Unexplored Place On The Planet

The brilliant great planet, shows us another mystery.  We’ve conquered the seas, boats are part of our lives, we know the surface of the oceans, and much of what is inside.  Here, in the Pacific Ocean, is a new mystery.  A great crack in the ocean floor, deeper than the highest mountain.  It’s cold, dark depths await the mighty adventurer.  Oceanographers smile, with eager curiosity.  Space travel and Polar explorations are accomplished.  We go further into space, colder in the harshness of the polar icecaps,   higher to the tops of the worlds mountains, but what lies beneath the surface of the Earth is still a curious and an unexplored place.

Down beneath the surface of the Earth, down into the depths of the ocean floor.  Still, great human, a chance for discovery.  A skill testing area to ignite that flame of curiosity.  Still, oh great ones, the Earth presents itself with uniqueness and unusual areas.  New lifeforms, new beginnings, new creatures, new worlds.

The Earth, that awesome spinning globe, that speck of dust in a universe so vast.  To be here, in this life sustaining place, where mystery upon mystery upon mystery unfolds.  Oh lucky human, to be alive is such a wonderful world.  The great planet sustains us and keeps us, so very well.
