Mother Dearest

Hail You Awesome Human

It’s a day for mothers. To remember them, to honor them and to celebrate the great joy of mothers.

The gift of comfort, of compassion and caring, the gift of time and love. The devotion of raising an offspring.  The wonder of creation and the joy of living.  Gifts.  These are gifts to us and to all of the living creatures on this magnificent planet.

And as all mothers do, it’s nurture and care.  Care or us, almighty great planet.  Care for us oh great divine.  Your powers are almighty and immense.  The spellbinding beauty, the magnificence of the creativity, the countless opportunity for learning and exploration.  Praises to you, oh great mother.  You and you alone in this cold and obscure universe.  You and you alone, so warm and fragile, so brilliant and inventive.  The fabulous great planet,  spinning its magical web of life and living, for all of us to enjoy.

The secrets of motherhood are to guide their offspring wisely.  Guide them to safety, guide them to security, help them to build a future on a strong, solid past.  The secrets of mothers is a love neverending, love eternally,  love with all of your heart.

The joy of an offspring, so tender and tiny.  A cherished blessing from God.  The pride of their accomplishments, so few and so many.  They are yours.  They are from the great divine.  They are special.  That is a child.

Mothers everywhere, large and small, human and animal, raise their offspring dutifully, no matter what they are, or what they will become.  With praises and encouragement, with devotion and protection the babies are the center of our lives.  As they grow, we delight in their play, their growth and their childhood ways.  This is the devotion of mothers, to give encouragement and praises, to support and nurture, to always be there.

In praises of mothers, great and small, this very special day for you, in recognition and celebration of joy of motherhood.   Happy Mothers Day to us all.

Missionaries

Hail Brave Hearts

This is your duty, this is your strength, this is your chosen life, the destiny of your path, the choice that you made.  Follow it with courage and determination.  Follow it with all of your heart, with your soul, with your passion, your intellect and your being.  Not all paths are easy, not all times will be grand, not all  will understand and not all will help, but persevere regardless.  Your story must be told.  Told by you.

Bravely travel into the unknown, seek the refuge of the place, contact the people and share their lives.  This mission has been accomplished before and will continue.

Venture into the lives of early Canada, the history of this great land.  A sharing of cultures, of exchange, of markets, of language and peace.  This is the fortitude of the people, the strength of their character, the bond that ties.  A familiarity must be established, with honest communication and negotiation.   These are the people, this is their land, their customs and their beliefs.  A common bond must be found.

Now is the time of the Jesuit.  Holy fathers of the faith, looking to convert the aboriginal people to follow the path of righteous and salvation.  Hail almighty ones.  It is your duty to persevere during these difficult times.  Sometimes it’s easy, but frequently the work is difficult and ardurous.  Not all of the people have an interest in these fine words.  Not everyone views the world from this perspective and not everyone will listen.  Of the thousands of people to preach to, the message is received slowly.  One by one, over many years, the aboriginals start to convert.  The faith must be accepted.  People must understand each other and the world must be saved.  Peace among us, oh fine nation.  Peace among us, to the glory of God.

But it is with great joy that we travel these unknown, rugged and fabulously beautiful lands.  It is with great joy that we meet these curious and eager people.  It is with great joy that we pursue our mission to convert these people to Christianity and to help them to serve the Lord.  The Jesuits are here as a dedicated group of missionaries, intent on fulfilling the directions of their education.  These are the soldiers of God, intent on bringing the scripture to the aboriginal people of Canada.  All united in the same faith, all members of the same church.  It is with great joy that they fulfill their mission, their aptitude and their duty.  It is with one call that they come forward, with the demand from their leader, that all peoples come to Christ.

Difficulties are met with gladness, for the challenge of the body is usurped by the spirit within. The spiritual awakening of the joy of bringing the faith to a people who are unknown to the world, but known by God. Come to the parish, learn and worship. The Call to the worlds peoples to unite! Unite as brothers and sisters of the faith. Be Christians! Make Jesus your Lord. Unite in the joy of the love of Jesus. Join us, we prey! Join us in gladness and in praises. Jesus went to the cross for you and rises again. Believe in the scripture and have faith. Be saved by the divine. Pray and be saved. Jesus is Lord.

The endless work to meet people, connect, converse and to find a common bond. The mission to bring the people under one church, with only one God

Be saved, all you mighty ones. Join together, worship together and be saved.

Challenges of Discovery

Hail Brave Hearts

The never ending adventure to voyage and discovery to meet and greet the new people, to learn their ways.  Peace among us is a priority, gifts and exchange, routes of travel and a path to the new world.  Discover, trade and progress, learn the language, the customs, the society.  There are many peoples, many societies, many worlds to discover.  Come with this explorer into the heart of our land and meet the people, listen to their stories, share their passions, learn their wisdom.  This is New France, in 1615, with an exploration into the aboriginal territories of Ontario, as far as Georgian Bay and Lake Nippissing, in search of a route to the Orient.

The Orient.  That spell binding, alluring destination of dreams.  Silk, spices, riches.  The Orient!  Find the route through Canada, we know it’s there.  Yes, it is, but not this time.  Not in 1615, when the world was forested and filled with mighty, turbulent rivers, with rapids and waterfalls to portage.  Not in 1615 when every few hundred kilometers brought new nations of aboriginals to meet and negotiate with.  As skilled and brilliant as these explorers were, the land is too large, the peoples too many, the dangers too difficult and the demands too great.  Still, the path to the Orient exists, but the people need to know these explorers, before extending such a substantial gift as the whereabouts of this sought after trail.

Samuel de Champlain 1604-1616

Travel and travel and travel, is a must.  Explore the world around and before you.  Go to these uncharted lands.  Bring peace, negotiation and prosperity with you, if you can.  It’s a daunting mission, to be the explorer, to discover and collaborate with people of unknown character.  Meeting them in their own land, on their own terms.  Peace and skilled negotiation.  The intellect soars as the negotiations are successful and the peoples minds are set at ease, with this friend.  Gratitude for such necessary gifts, as some burdens are lifted and some work is eased.  Sharing and caring, the beginning of a new world.  The start of a new land.  This is now New France, being explored and documented and carefully mapped.  Each river that is traveled, each new tribe that is encountered, each new language that is spoken and the forest of trees, plants and animals to marvel at as well.  All carefully described, by this well educated person, who knew the land so well.

This is the life of a great explorer, Samuel de Champlain.  His mission of discovery was so successful that it formed peaceful and prosperous relations with several aboriginal tribes and the French people, who earnestly sought common bonds and  well intended relationships with the people of the new world.  The needs for these negotiations for the fur traders were high.  In the end Champlain died in Quebec city with only 150 settlers living in the colony.

With the explorer, came the missionaries.  Jesuit priests from France, intent on bringing Christianity to the people of Canada.  This seemed necessary for the aboriginals to understand the religion of the French people  so that they would have a common bond in humanity to share.  Peace among the people, brothers in Christ.  Although the aboriginals had their own religion, with their own after life, it was deemed essential to bring these people to Jesus.  Such was the quest of the Jesuits who pursued this mission to the ends of their lives.

Christmas in the Country

Hail You Awesome Human

The night is bright with stars so shiny, it is the time of Christmas Eve. The winter snow is deep and crisp, white and bright and full of it’s own delight. Christmas and winter are filling our lives. Fun in the snow and fun in the humanity of the season. Fill our lives with joy and celebration, fill our hearts with gladness and peace. Love for one another, joy to all of humanity, the child will soon be born.

Bless this season, all you fine people, fill your lives with joy. A baby will soon be born, bless the baby boy.

The hardship of the daily toil is sometimes overwhelming and dreary. Daily life can be difficult, tiresome and weary. Some are rich, some are poor, some are weak and some are far away. Now is a time for Christian giving, feasting and sharing and exchanging gifts. The tradition of family, friends and strangers, all connected to a child. Save us! Praises to you oh holy child. Save us!

Bring our loved ones to us, make their travels safe. Long journeys homeward, to our family to share Christmas Day. A tradition of joy that we celebrate with the world. Home for the holidays, all you Christian people. Celebrate the joy that this fine season brings.

The dead of winter for holiday delight. It’s perfect. Cold and wintry is the night with the fresh snow in the morning to greet us. There is nothing better than this season. Joy and caroling, Christmas is beautiful. A tradition of compassion, charity, giving, and friendship. The fabulous tradition of caring. Love one another, peace on Earth, goodwill towards your fellow man. May the blessings of the season fill your hearts with joy and kindness and be faithful to you throughout the year.

It is with great joy that we sing our songs, with duty and dedication that we donate our gifts of charity to the poor. Love eternally, love everlasting, that is the message of this baby boy. Jesus will soon be born, he rises again. From a birth in a manger to be king of our lives. A triumph for humanity, for the spirit of mankind. Rise in freedom, all of you fine people, shed your despair. Cheer and praises, the holy night is near.

Soon the wanderings of the spirit will end, soon the angels will sing, soon the stable will call us to rest, soon will be born, a king. Soon the darkness will reveal a light, soon the night will end, soon the witnesses of the glorious sight will be called, on this Holy Night.

A tradition of singing, of baking and feasting, a holiday most high. Gift giving and memories, the wisemen stopped by. Oh wise are we, to continue this tradition, in memory of a baby, so calm and bright. Such a wonderful gift, oh Holy Night. Oh Holy Night. Soon a child will be born.

The hardship of the colony, the death and despair that was endured, but strive oh Canada, your wealth and destiny will come. Oh homesteaders of yesterday, with toil and work and strife. It still is Christmas to all, regardless of where you are in life. In living the pioneer struggles, but the holiday looms in our minds. Yes, you must have Christmas, not just in your dreams. The holiday is for everyone, enjoy it before it passes. The festive season is with us, with fun and sharing and gifts. Laugh and sing, oh lucky humans, for the joy that this holiday season brings.

The Everlasting Day

The Everlasting Day

Hail Almighty Ones

Dreams of this day, this long, everlasting day.  Dreams of adventure, of skills tested wisely, of companionship and social life, of friends and togetherness.  Plan for this day, it’s fleeting window of opportunity.  Plan for each moment, for this day, as all days, are special ones.

Rise early, the sun shines already, calling you to awake from slumber. Cast off your sleepy head and don your wakefulness, for the sun shines, the birds sing and your adventure is about to begin.  You’ll test your skills with the companionship of friends, in games of athletic competition.  You’ll read your novels, knit your sweaters, stroll through countysides, swim in pools.  You’ll choose your aptitude and share with those special people who’s company you enjoy.  This is your own, everlasting day.  A day that heals wounds, that relieves suffering, that smiles and hugs and keeps you warm.  This is the day to relax, to enjoy, to dwell longer, to live better, to laugh and to learn, to love and to chatter.  This is that special, endless day.  A day of exchange, to try recipes, to learn new skills together and to try one of your favourite things.  This is your planned adventure, to last the whole day long.  To sing and be happy, to love the life your given.  This day won’t really end, it just gets longer.  Longer into the evening, with food to share and stories to tell, that strengthen the bonds between us.   Take the time to plan the adventure of this day, to share stories and plan gatherings, sharing your dinner and safely, exchanging knowledge.   What you’ve learned, what you’ve seen, what you’ve accomplished with this day.

To stroll in the forest, climb a new peak, share your dinner together, wind up at someone’s place.  To get to know each other more thoroughly, to spend the time, to escape into togetherness, into freedom and relaxation.  These special days are forever, when time passes so slowly, when spirits soar and encouragement cheers you on.  These are friendship days of constant companionship, constant togetherness, constant affirmation of your life.  These special days are as often as possible, not holidays, but days of rest.

Fill your life with special days, to warm your heart, fill your world friendship and to live with joy.

A Christmas Wish

A Christmas Wish

Hail Bravehearts

During this joyous time of festive celebration, comes a life of dear, immortal being.  A life of wonder, of hope, of salvation.  A gift to this great planet and joy to all who know it.

In the quiet of winter, when the snow lies on the ground, when the deep chill of cold, freezes our blood, and hurries us along the street to our cozy homes, comes a time of celebration and fun.  Gifts are purchased, goodwill is upon us.  A treasure of wealth in human compassion leaps to the forefront of our ways.  Donations to the poor and hampers of food.  We  shine at this time of year.  We are happy and filled with joy.  This is that special, high holiday time, when the blessings of a savior and the memory of a holy birth remind us of the joy of giving .  A gift.  A life of cherished teachings.  A life of inspiration and a life of generosity.

Life, birth, creation.  Each and every one of us contains that gift of life.  A miracle of the wonder of creation.  It is a reminder to us, during these happy days, that a child of magnificence came into our world.  Praises and glory, mighty and immortal.  A child of greatness, born in a  stable.  Kindness to the creatures of the Earth.  The heavenly Angels sing in praises, the majesty of kings, who know the wisdom, the Shepherds  who follow the star, the animals who watch in silence.  The Heavens and the Earth are filled with gladness.  This is an event for us all.

Teachings of wisdom for those great minds.  Teachings of wonder that compel the masses, teachings of acceptance to all who witness.  Teachings of compassion to the animals who watch in silence.  All of the creatures great and small.  All of the life on this great planet.

The adored!  The wonder of immaculate birth.  The joy of a being, so divine.  All encompassing love.  All needed creation.  The spirit of life shines in us and the spirit of love is within us.

Holy child of divine conception,  holy child of life immortal.  The breath of these teachings fills our world and the joy of creation fills our senses.

Oh happy life that gives us caring.  A happy life with the gift of giving, community, hope and mutual sharing.  Mutual sharing of bread and food.  Mutual sharing of holiday gifts.  Mutual sharing of a supportive community.  The light of life that makes us smile, that brings a treasure of support and acceptance.  Oh happy world, where we are all human beings, where race and color vanishes to oblivion.  Oh happy world where the creatures sing, oh glory, glory to this king.

We are all the creation of a God most high, whose intellect and benevolence nurtures our being.

Hail, you almighty persons of this planet.  Join with us in this season’s celebrations.  Kind and caring, end the suffering,  the plight of the homeless, the less fortunate, the poor.  Our holiday wishes are to bring an end to starvation and poverty.

The Dreams of Peace

Hail Bravehearts

Do you see me? I’m in the air that you breathe.
Do you feel me? I’m in the strong hug that comforts you.
Do you hear me? I’m in the songs of the living, both human and wild.
Can you taste me? I’m in the food that nourishes you.
Can you smell me? I’m in your senses. I’m aroma and perfume.
Do you know me? I am your neighbour.
Do you love me? I am the spirit.
Oh great spirit of wondrous love, shine your daily light on us.
This is the season to be jolly, for merriment and joy. This is the season to cast aside all ills and torments and to lay your weapons down. A season to celebrate the gift of giving.
The wisemen brought their treasures, gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. The wonder of creation brought onto the Earth. A special gift.
In our celebration of great joy, great giving, great love and humanity, the gift of sharing and caring for all of the world is the peace of the holiday season.
Peace be with you, oh great wise ones. The world needs your sane and knowledgeable minds. In this time of celebration, of the joy of life, of what the world brings us, of goodness and fellowship and praises. Praises to the world for the joy of life itself. Praises to the world and sing songs of glad tidings. These days are a celebration of peace, of love, of kindness and great joy.
Sing, oh heavenly angels and cure the world of despair. Sing with songs of joy, with all of your voices, with all of your hearts and minds and souls. Cure us oh angels and proclaim your love and devotion, your rapture and your dedication. Sing for all of the world to hear. For as we lay in weary, war torn despair, the Earth, so magnificent, crumbling in ruin, we seek the light of hope, of world peace and of quiet.
The comfort of peaceful negotiation, successful. The relief of war no more. The pain of poverty ended. The gifts of food to feed the hungry. A world at peace, with evil controlled.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cC_1KGP8-RU&spfreload=10 A Christmas Carol 2001

Oh blessed dreams of love unending, of understanding, morals and accepting. The pangs of hardship and grieving lessened by the striving of societies to cure all pain. Cleanse us from the evils of lawlessness. Repair our spirits, our hearts, our minds and our souls. Clean us of the wounds of battle, wash away our war torn sorrow. End the battle, end the evil, send the perils to their graves.
Now in this time of winter’s sleeping, dreaming of a peace on Earth. Send a miracle of blessed savior, a miracle of a blessed birth.

What the Angels Say

What the Angels Say

Hail Bravehearts
To the joy of this season. To the festivities, the parties, the songs and the sharing. To be a community of caring people, to give and to laugh and to work for a community, a country, all of society. To build a nation, to build dreams, hope, freedom and care. Nurture and care, all living things cherished.
The animals, so quiet, so peacefully keeping watch. The angels heralding the birth of a savior. The wisemen travelling so far to discover. The shepherd, so vigilant, as love becomes creation. The songs of most high are the songs of the angels and they sing the song of praises to all. Joy! Love! Peace everlasting! Goodwill to all of you, oh inspired mortal man! Sing with the angels the songs of triumph, the songs of gladness, the songs of joy. Sing with the angels, the spirit of giving, the love of your neighbour, the sharing and the awakening. The divine inspiration of something new.
Be brave, oh mortal human, the new thought, the new lord, the new world, revisited again. Unite, oh human, share common goals, reach for that treasure of wholesome ideas, the unity of thought for a better world, a better life, a better being.
Joy! sing the angels, to their lord most high, on a date of birth to remember.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7HItFqKBAQE&spfreload=10 Kings College Choir

Silently, silently, the world lies deep in wonder, the lord of lords will fill your lives with love and kindness. Peace, oh weary lives, peace, oh wise ones, the negotiation of this season is peace.
Hear the angels as they sing the praises. The wondrous birth of a savior. They sing the scripture in all of it’s meaning. Listen. It’s what the angels say.
For mortal man with mortal error, envy, boldness, contempt and power, hears a word that was not spoken, sees a deed that did not occur. Crafty plotting, crafty planning, bitter dispute of power and madness. Kill! Kill! and war some more.
Hate! It becomes us and cruelty reigns. But hark! The herald angels sing!
Glory from on high, oh blessed saviour. We hear the angelic voices of heaven most high. The will of the almighty, to cure the demon, to cast out the devil and to unite the faithful. Preach! For this is what the angels say and the scripture is their passion, a play out of a life of persistent devotion.
Hail, oh bravehearts, your duty calls you. Come! Join together, feast and enjoy. This is the season of plenty. Merriment and love, laughter and goodwill. Cast aside your wars, your anger, your doubt and sing together with the praises of creation. This season is about wondrous love, creation and gladness and peace to all of you. A mistake in interpretation is only a folly the season is warm with goodwill and joy.
Hail, all humans, do not despair, the angels know the scripture and sing it well.
Joy to the world.
Peace on Earth.
Goodwill to all of mankind.
Love one another.

To be Strong

Hail Bravehearts

To rise, to shine, to glory. Hear us all the world. Hear us as we shout our praises, shout our joy, our love of creation and the need for peace on Earth. Hear us oh great thinkers, oh great peacekeepers, oh great minds. The unity of the planet is dear to us and the salvation of the great planet Earth is our conquest and our care. There is a time for peace and it is now, now in the quiet of winters sleep, when the Earth breathes deeply and slumbers in rest. Rest also, for the weary need their sleep and the Earth needs peace.
Hail, oh bravehearts, you champions of humanity. The world sees your deeds of greatness and aspirations with awe. So daring, so much courage, so much strength. Oh brave human, whose feats are so amazing, bring us your strength in human caring. The strong, the brilliant, the minds of great people. Cast aside your evils, your devils and step forward. The world needs your mightiness in peace and friendship, in fellowship and goodwill.
Praises, oh great human, for you have built cities, countries, international ties and journeys into space. For what unites us as humans, is great aspirations, great achievement and superb skill. All of us join in the quest to advancement, a quest where competition is not a war.

http://www.un.org/en/peacekeeping/ United Nations international peace keeping

Each day brings us forward, to hurdle our obstacles, to be champions of necessity, to overcome barriers. The need of the planet for diligence in environmentalism, for sound planning and community safety. The need to end the destruction of the forest, the over hungry and over population. Hail, great human for the listening skills that hear the call to rise above it and to end the misery of poverty and starvation.
Hear us, oh great people, of nations so wealthy, of slavery abolished and friendship so needed. Hear us, oh great land of productive harvests, of properly managed estates, of ending urban sprawl. Hear us as we praise you for the collective thinking that motivates us all and sends us to end the plunder of the planet, the plunder of the oceans and the great, marvelous forests. The forest creatures need their forest and the almighty human needs the air.
Praises! For in this time of winter sleep, of winter fun and winter play, the earth needs it’s quiet slumber and us, oh bravehearts need to plan. A life of conquest of yet another mountain, that trail that calls us, the skills of perfected training. The war on the planet kills all of us.
Our skills are of champions, our quest to conquer it all. The adventurer is a daring human, the skills to out manoeuver the competition, to compete at a level that excites us and to win a victory of unmatched achievement. Again and again, we rise to the challenge, to be the competitor, to be the victor, but oh great human, with lives so enduring, hail to all of you, for lives of great courage. For now, in the quiet of winters sleep, the planet calls your name and hails you. Peace, oh great ones, your wars are killing me.
