It’s Hockey Time

It’s Hockey Time

Hail Bravehearts

Now is the time, when you’re young and free, a time to learn a skill and a time to play.  This is the time of your life.  An adventure is here, it’s waiting for you, an all Canadian sport that is precious to us.  Play!  For the time of your life, play!  The great Canadian wild beacons to us, the ice is here, it’s strong enough, grab your skates, your hockey sticks, a proud sports hero might come of this.  Play!  The air is chilly the ice is thick, the ducks have flown and the quiet of winter is calling to us.  The world has changed in this frigid climate, the bears are denned, the dear retreat, the goose have flown and soon the snow will pile high.  Now is the time for ice skating on the lakes, hockey and fun, chilly with hot chocolate on a chilly fall day, refreshing and cool, we can play for hours in this quiet pre-Christmas time.

Each season has it specialties, but the month of November is so underrated.  The doldrums of grey, which is not yet winter, but cold and dreary.  The trees have dropped their leaves, the harvest is in, the pantry is full and the feast is over.   Snow is in the mountains now, with rain in the valley, but freezing overnight, to keep the ice solid.  It’s the early season start to a great Canadian winter.  Still warm enough for lighter coats, but chilly enough for snow.  It’s a time for baking and winter shopping, Christmas is coming and find a tree.  November is grey, but the ice is here, bringing it’s winter sports to us in an exciting and refreshing and spirited way.

On these chilly autumn days, when the ice is clear, you can see to the bottom of the lake, to view the lake foliage, sometime swimming fish, sand, rocks and weeds.  A new perspective  or a simple pleasure, ice skating is a superb pastime for sport and fun.  It’s early in life that we learn these skills, how to skate, pass a puck, hold a hockey stick,be a part of a team.  That’s it!  Be a part of a team!

Come out all of you, come out to play, the frost and the ice are calling you.  Bring your helmets and your skates, we need you for the team.  From the time that you were a little tot the ice has called your name.  The outdoor skating rink is one of winter’s finest feats of sporting pleasure.  To glide on the ice, to try tricks and spins, to enjoy the company of friends and family.  This cool dreary November has become a dazzling delight, of fresh fallen snow, ice and sport, hockey and friends.

We move with ease from one season to another, each with it’s great outdoor specialties and indoor charm.  We’re thrilled with the enthusiasm for the November chill, it only gets better from here.

In The Forest

Hail Almighty Human

Scream, as the terror is with us.  Strike a match, ignite the fire, burn and burn and burn.  We watch in helpless  horror as the forest fire rages.  Pillars of smoke and flame that engulf the trees, lay waste to the land, destroy our hopes and kill our lives.  The shock, the death, the despair.  No more fire, we scream in fright, as one of the worst years for forest fires is now starting to pass.  It was everywhere.  The smell, the cold, the choking fumes, hundreds of kilometers away and still it affects us.  The sky is a fog, the mountains vanish, the sun is gone and the light is dim.  Properties gone, their fortunes fade, one deathly blunder and our lives are changed.  Sometimes forever, sometimes for years, the horror of fire leaves a wake filled with tears.

Fighting against it, fighting the odds, the perils of a task so immense to complete.  Save our homes, save our lives, save our destiny, try, try, try.  The screams of terror, as it all lays to waste, the burden to rebuild, to be strong in it’s face.  The plight of the people, as smoke fills the air, of all of life running, to save what it can.

As the autumn is coming, the fall colors are hear, hoping that snow will make everything clear.  The cold and the wet, the snowfall might do it, put out the fires that humans can’t manage to.  The constant struggle, the constant fear, this has been one of the worst fire records, of all years.

The forest succumbs, it takes lives with it, those too tired, too slow, too young, too old.  The toll of the fire is much more than property.  The loss of the forest, the loss of the land, the goodness and value that go hand in hand.  The life supporting forest, that we all need and love, is the doom of the wild, when it burns to dust.  Gone is the wild song, the singing, the praises, the love of joy, of living, that saves us.  When the world is quiet, there’s a sound no more, the sound of hearts beating to build and restore.  The sound of the quiet is a deafening tone, of mountains without life, where all is just stone.

http://naturecanada.ca/what-we-do/NatureVoice/endangered-species/know-our-species/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIqvzSpuW81gIVAZF-Ch060wN5EAAYAiAAEgLx__D_BwE

The quiet, too quiet, it reminds us of something.  This is the great planet, full of life and living things.  They should be talking, we should be listening, to hear a slither, a crack, a croak, or a twitter.  Here in the quiet, there isn’t any talking, no one to hear them, they run from something.  Even without fire, smoke is in the air, it’s too much for many and the quiet is result.  A world without the great wild is a world without care.  No songs to sing, from birds out there.

The elk now call, they start to rut, another life cycle, in a forest, with luck.

Settlers in the West

Settlers in the West

Hail Bravehearts

Come out of your houses, come out to play, search for your destiny, fill it this way.  Joy for our lives, filled with our passions, educate yourself in many ways, don’t settle for small rations. Here in the mountains was a new way of life, carved from the environment, full of love  and strife.  Back in the day, when the nation was growing, came a homesteading family with a history, worth knowing.  Migrate to the mountains, fill up this land, settle this area, prosperity is at hand.  Work and strive, build your home, grow where the deer and the caribou roam.  Mighty are we,we own this land, wrought from the skills and tools of our hands.  Building a house and shed for our needs, makes us the Moberly’s and we are Metis.

Look at this beauty, this fabulous land, nature has given us her golden hand.  Flowers and scenery, game galore, all right outside our open front door.  A fabulous view, so much desired, we planned to pass this along to our descendants to admire.  In the heart of Jasper, a national park, lies the trail to our cabin, in a meadow that’s marked.  Come to our land, follow the trail, to a Canadian adventure in homesteading tale.  Brilliant flowers now nod their heads, where a family with children once softly tread.

Ancient are we, in a land we admire, full of perils and hardship and landscape that’s dire.  Mountains and crevices, rock falls and forest, fill our lives with the wild lands of birds chorus.  Settle these lands, farming, hunting and fishing, trading with explores is how we make our living. Earning our right to clear the land, is how we survived and thrived with our band.  A family are we, brothers and wives, making a living with strong family ties.

http://www.mountainmetis.com/pages/henry_john_moberly.html

The west was being opened with adventure and more as the trading posts flourished throughout our world.  Settle the nation, fill your hearts, with the bountiful prosperity that  trading starts.  A nation rich, with people so smart, that they discovered routes to join us together, not keep us apart.  From coast to coast a path was laid, and along the way, some homesteaders stayed.  Explore this world, discover this land, a nation is forming with peace at hand.

Markets and trade, influence our lives, building a homestead where families can thrive.  Open these routes, help find the path, the adventure is growing, it will stay and it lasts.  The west is fought for, it belongs to us, brilliant and daring, the exploration is a must.  Join the coasts, find a way, for this land to become a nation one day.

A place in history, is only a name, but cabins in the wilderness, is this families fame.  Interesting and ancient, when all went well, meeting travelers and explorers, is the story they tell.  Building connections, building ties, enter the landscape where this family once thrived.

Now a national park, intensely protected, whose worth to the world was UNESO`s projection. Visit us here in this world famous place, the mountains and wilderness of Canada`s grace.

Jasper National Park.

A Garden of Earthly Delight

A Garden of Earthly Delight

Hail Bravehearts

Joy to you and to your garden too.  The blessings of spring turn to summertime things, as the fruit sets on the vine.  Welcome to summer and to a harvest of plenty, as fruit and vegetables and flowers grow.   Smell the aroma, the scent of your haven, a garden is paradise on earth, if it’s  laden.  Bees and butterflies, birds of a feather, pollinate the flowers of trees and heather.  Your garden of earthly delight.  A recipe to try something new, a dandelion ripens its head, just for you.  The colorful, showy, large yellow flower, is filled with nectar for pollinators to swallow.  Lovely and fresh, it’s springtime bouquet, fills our pantry on many a day.  Weeds begone, they belong in the past, harvest this flower, they might not last.

http://www.theprairiehomestead.com/2014/04/dandelion-recipes.html

Now, in the garden, my roses bloom,  a new source of food, has just found room.  Flowers and scent, the aroma is perfume,  my cooking has escalated to aromatherapy blooms.  The delicious petals, the fragrance and color, I dine with delight at my new found wonder.  Taste the petals and taste the blooms, flowers are delicious and filled with perfume.  Soaps and lotions, smell their scent, we dine in splendor with what the earth sends.  Herbs which were weeds, fill our bowls, and flowery syrups delight our souls.  Needy and hungry we scrounge for more, as the delectable bites, need time to mature.

Another flower fills the garden quickly.  Lilac is a source of food for our pantry.  Brilliant and purple it’s showy head, casts spells of flavor upon our heads.  Heady and delightful, the flowers of the pantry, change our world from dowdy to fancy.  Look at us, look what we dine on!  The sumptuous garden of flowers to thrive on.  Gourmet for us all, as we ponder our dinner.  Calorie count?  We’re really not thinner.  Jams and syrups, wine and souffle, a delight from the garden, will always make our day. Recipes to share, summer is here, as we wait for the berries to ripen each year.  But this year is different, it has a new taste, as flowers and petals garnish our plates.  Fragrance and cordials, liqueurs and jams, petals and soaps and aromatic plans.  The earth with abundance spreads joy to us.  Gather and enjoy, the new harvest is a must.

The tender shoots of weeds to pull, become the salad, we all know.  Herbs and flowers with syrupy dressings, are a feast of plants which were pulled as a menace. Come and enjoy, the new harvest is here.  Brilliant and colorful, it speaks to our ears.  Listen to that sound, from great mother Earth.  Eat and be joyous, quench your thirst.  A tasty drink, a scone, a tart, will all  change our world right from the start.

Eat and be healthy, enjoy the new view, flowers for consumption has just made the news.  Carefully selected, a bright sight to behold, in comes the new, to replace the old.  Caution to the wind, eat your garden, but be cautious to indulge in only the good ones.  Don’t poison yourselves on inedible plants.  Eat only what’s good for you, not the bugs and the ants.  Eaten correctly and enjoyed wisely, the new bountiful garden will savor your meals.  Live wisely.

It’s Birthing Season

It’s Birthing Season

Hail, all you Bravehearts

The spring magic is bursting, it’s flames fill the air, heady with perfume, the fragrance is everywhere.  Colours of rainbows, the infraction of light, darting licks of sprouting things, the springtime comes to life.  Brilliance of beauty, the delight of newborn lives, nesting calls of symphony, the choir of our lives.  Behold the wondrous species, they all have missions here, to fill our world with Earthly praise, to a planet we  hold most dear.  The budding trees are blooming now, the bees are hard at work, for pollen, nectar and honey is the plan of natures work.  A stork will bring the babies, a notion so absurd, the animal chain of learning pain, brings babies from the woods. It’s nests and eggs that hatch the young, it’s thickets, where they lay.  That overrated stork lost out, to the trees and forest at play.

Lovely splendor, lovely birth, the drama of the fall, has an outcome so desirable, it’s babies after all.  Little adorable ones, needing so much attention.  Stop!  Don’t miss that chance, to capture them on camera.  The wildlife are beaming, they know now what to do.  Stand by the roadside in the Parks and wave at the calamity of you know who.

An adventure for this praiseworthy day, a photo or several, or two, of babies coming to join us, in this hinterland of guess who.  Nature may be difficult, it’s predator and prey, but come into the world of babies, and it protection and play.  Lovely little ones, so cute and soft and adored, we all become their mothers, just to nurture a world to be explored.  They’re fabulous and new, they shriek at us, coo coo! We all come a running with baby food.  The spring and the parenting, the planning for next year.  Raise those babies wisely, they represent the herd!  No dowdy ones, no unmatched socks, put on your sleek new coat.  You are a representative of a genetic stock to rival any goat. Survival of the fittest is the game all parents play.  When babies are born and pride is given to a new cast of characters today.

The love and devotion of springtime happiness, is turned to a summer of responsible parenting togetherness.   Chattering with pride, they show off their newborn delight.  Just look at little elk calf there, he’s blossoming with intellectual might.

The fish eggs are hatching, the frogs sing with all their might.  A lovely day on planet Earth, fills their little lungs with a chorus of pond song, after dinner, choir serenade delight.

The sounds of the season are love and loving sounds, as the great gifted planet, spins it’s eternity  of  marvel all around.  All creation, all for good, a special aptitude, the great gifted planet, spins it all just for you.  Just for you, oh little one, just for you to share, the fabulous stretch of wisdom, greets you everywhere.   This gifted, great planet, in it’s protected, universal space, is a wealth of brilliant life form abundance, for everyone, even the human race.  Welcome and acceptance, treat it all with care, for this great, ingenious planet, can concoct new species, if it’s dared.  The life forms are brilliant, it’s beauty and adored, the planet exudes it’s wealth of creation for all of us to explore.

Rise and shine, it’s springtime, so go out and greet the day.  For all of us, are from planetary dust, just go out and play.

The Everlasting Day

The Everlasting Day

Hail Almighty Ones

Dreams of this day, this long, everlasting day.  Dreams of adventure, of skills tested wisely, of companionship and social life, of friends and togetherness.  Plan for this day, it’s fleeting window of opportunity.  Plan for each moment, for this day, as all days, are special ones.

Rise early, the sun shines already, calling you to awake from slumber. Cast off your sleepy head and don your wakefulness, for the sun shines, the birds sing and your adventure is about to begin.  You’ll test your skills with the companionship of friends, in games of athletic competition.  You’ll read your novels, knit your sweaters, stroll through countysides, swim in pools.  You’ll choose your aptitude and share with those special people who’s company you enjoy.  This is your own, everlasting day.  A day that heals wounds, that relieves suffering, that smiles and hugs and keeps you warm.  This is the day to relax, to enjoy, to dwell longer, to live better, to laugh and to learn, to love and to chatter.  This is that special, endless day.  A day of exchange, to try recipes, to learn new skills together and to try one of your favourite things.  This is your planned adventure, to last the whole day long.  To sing and be happy, to love the life your given.  This day won’t really end, it just gets longer.  Longer into the evening, with food to share and stories to tell, that strengthen the bonds between us.   Take the time to plan the adventure of this day, to share stories and plan gatherings, sharing your dinner and safely, exchanging knowledge.   What you’ve learned, what you’ve seen, what you’ve accomplished with this day.

To stroll in the forest, climb a new peak, share your dinner together, wind up at someone’s place.  To get to know each other more thoroughly, to spend the time, to escape into togetherness, into freedom and relaxation.  These special days are forever, when time passes so slowly, when spirits soar and encouragement cheers you on.  These are friendship days of constant companionship, constant togetherness, constant affirmation of your life.  These special days are as often as possible, not holidays, but days of rest.

Fill your life with special days, to warm your heart, fill your world friendship and to live with joy.

The One and Only

The One and Only

Hail Bravehearts

In this wondrous world of the universe, I am the greatest gift.  Rocks and particles, dust and gases, floating, roaming, different things.  Planetary dust and star dust, I am the Creator, I make all things.  Inspired by vastness, I stretch and expand.   I’m getting bigger and bigger, find me if you can.  Way out here in the galaxy, my mission is clear.  Otherworldy delights, for me and all of you.  Let there be light and a star is born, create a galaxy where other Earths will form.  Plenty of time, I have nothing to do, but spend my time in eternity, creating life and brilliant worlds, for me and maybe for you.

The Earth is older, her wonders, so many.  A vast and brilliant planet of creation superb.  Oh happy life, to be so fortunate as to spend it’s existence on this great planet.

There are other galaxies in this great universe.  The Earth is tucked over there, in a safe place, in the galactic suburbs of outer space.  Fewer comets to strike it, fewer meteors to damage it, the Earth is a darling of creative delight.  I made this world.  It is truly divine.  I made it for me and it truly shines.  That rock of life, that life giving haven, that fabulous planet, great planet Earth.  This is where I reside, on this great planet.  Oh happy life, of creative energy, of imagination, of splendor and wealth.  This is my planet, it belongs to me.  This is my place, my refuge, my home.  Come, look and see, the creative life that I give to you, so that you can see me.

I am here, this is my home.  Come and share it with me.

Everywhere

Everywhere

Hail Bravehearts

Young and old, rich and poor, meek and strong, search for me.  I am your world.  I am your conscience, I am your guide, I am your motivation, your drive, your intellect.  Seek me, and I will speak to you.  I am the light that shines in your world.

The weather rolls in, the thunder clashes, the rain falls in torrents, the wind howls, the night falls, the stars come out and the dreamy night sky opens up to you.  The moon casts its shimmery glow of moonlight.  The air is clean and scented from the rain, the howls subside and the world is brilliant.  Light falls from the moon and the path is lit.  A fearsome storm, becomes a quiet night, the Earth rolls over and sleeps, but the sky is awake.  It shines with brilliant light.  It beckons the world to watch in wonder.  The day is over, but now it’s night.  The air is charged with something different.  Don your jackets, pull up your lawn chairs, lay back in rest and watch the night.

The starry  night of myth and fantasy, the factual night of navigation and  science, the magical night of stars and aurora borealis.  The night of peace and sweet dreams.

Universe Explore Live Stream – National Geographic The Universe – Space Discovery Documentary 2017

The heavens are another sanctuary, they play their part in wonder and life.  They create that immense place where gods can live, where souls can rest, where angels live and where mythical legends roam.  The sky, so stunning and surreal, so daunting and exciting, so enticing and challenging.  A whole realm of study, of intrigue, of mystery, fantasy, otherworldly delight.  The gift of other planets, of stars to explore, of imagination, temptation, determination and curiosity.  The will of mankind, to conquer again, the support of the people, to will it’s success.  Alone, we are only, together we are mighty.  Tell us the secrets of the universe.

A probe is sent, a rocket fired, a space mission daring, a space capsule floating.  Bring on the stars, the galaxies, the clusters, and while you’re out there, tell us where God is.

I am here.  This is my home, in this great universe.  I see your intrusion, your persistence and longing.  I see your contraptions, your roaming devices.  I see your achievements and your energy.  I see with great care, the work you’ve accomplished, the persistence, the agony, the praises, the blessing.  I see your activity, your minds and your bodies.  I see your strength and your pride.  I see your endeavors, your challenges, your successes and failures.  I see  you.  Here I am.  This is me.  I am with you.  I’m in your world.  I see all of you.  This is me.

To glorious successes, to overcome pain, to regaining your will, to walk, run, fight again.  To be strong and victorious, to slay dragons and witches, to win at being human and to nurture and care.  Where is that God, your might ask.  Everywhere.
